At the age of 12, Lowry began playing neighborhood garage gigs in a duo, with his older brother on drums and him playing a Magnus Chord organ that was mic'd up into a borrowed, Sears guitar amp! By the end of high-school the Springfield based band The Misstakes featuring Steve Clinghan, Kevin Breshears, Gerry Revella, Jeff Lowry, and Bill Brown had been formed, and were signed to the Good Music Agency in Minneapolis MN. Countless dates were played through the early 80's and even after leaving the band in 1981 to attend college, Lowry remained a huge fan of the band in its various iterations through the years.

After college while living in Colorado, he played with various bands including Options, The George Sisneros Band and The Blame. Lowry also worked with many songwriters and local musicians including players from the Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, The Broadmoor Hotel and the international act Flash Cadillac.

After a career spanning 30 years working within the technical side of the arts and entertainment community, Lowry has returned to the Ozarks and in addition to working as a solo artist , is also performing as a bass player with the acoustic trio Chris, Jeff, and Rob, the quartet Static In The Attic and the six-piece dance band Citizen Hank.
